Day 4x10-Hour shift (06:45 - 17:15) with liver call and the possibility of other cases when there are no liver/transplant cases.

Job Description

The RN Operating Room Liver/Transplant Specialist will provide expert nursing care in the operating room with a strong focus on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures. The role requires significant hands-on experience in transplant operations, specifically in putting organs back into the new patient. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Misonix/CUSA and participate in a teaching capacity for students and new staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care during complex transplant surgeries.
• Assist in training and mentoring medical students and new staff.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of direct liver/transplant RN experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required at the time of application.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Experience in Misonix/CUSA is essential.
• Experience must include putting organs back in new patients, not just harvesting.
