Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/PCU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and be comfortable managing patients post-cath lab, ETOH, and other complex conditions. This role requires critical thinking skills, proficiency in cardiac monitoring, and the ability to manage titratable drips.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in a Stepdown/PCU environment.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage titratable drips such as cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and execute care plans in accordance with protocols.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing assistants and patient care techs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac drips.
• Candidates must be able to work with a patient:nurse ratio of 1:4-6 based on acuity.
