Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with no call requirements.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care for patients in the Emergency Department. They maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the available staff's education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department while adhering to the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership skills in patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care tasks according to staff abilities and qualifications.
• Supervise and direct assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center.
