LPN - Hospital Float Nurse

Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The LPN Float Nurse will provide compassionate and quality nursing care across multiple units, including Household Units, Hall 1 (Subacute Care), Hall 2 (LTC/Memory Care), Burk 1 (Pulmonary Care), and Burk 2 (Ventilator). The role involves support for a wide variety of patient needs, from long-term care to rehabilitation, while maintaining a safe and effective care environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized nursing care based on individual patient assessments.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and record findings accurately.
• Assist with daily activities and support mobility and ambulation.
• Use strong organizational skills to manage time and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Participate in creating and implementing patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact license at the time of submission.
• Experience in long-term acute care (LTAC) is preferred.
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
