Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with extensive experience in high-risk labor and delivery settings. The preferred candidate will have at least 3-5 years of nursing experience, especially in high acuity and fast-paced environments. Candidates who are eligible for this travel contract must have been separated from their last position for at least three months and must pass a clinical review. This unit does not accept first-time travelers.
Responsibilities
- Functioning as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and providing continuous care to newborns until transfer to postpartum.
- Circulating during C-sections and providing essential newborn care, including administering vitamin K injections and conducting newborn assessments.
- Floating as needed to sister facilities that support Mother/Baby care.
- Maintaining compliance with AWHONN guidelines and ensuring all procedures are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Engaging with interdisciplinary support teams as required to provide optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-risk labor and delivery.
- Must possess current BLS and NRP certifications; advanced certifications such as ACLS and AWHONN are preferred.
- Active Washington state or compact nursing license required.
- References from previous supervisory roles covering at least one year within the last three years.
