Schedule

12-hour shifts, days, with weekends as scheduled. Typical shifts are 0700-1930 or 1900-0730 with a 1/2 hour lunch break.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit with a capacity of 18 private rooms. The nurse will manage patients with various infectious diseases, including COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff, in accordance with isolation precautions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with infectious diseases.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurse and RT on patient management.
• Handle a patient load of 5-6 patients, with support from CNA staff.
• Monitor and manage CPAP and BiPAP patients as needed.
• Participate in self-scheduling for shifts based on unit needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• Strong knowledge in MedSurg, infectious disease, and isolation precautions.
• Travel experience is required.
