Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with every third weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Emergency Department is a 74-bed unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing critical care for a variety of emergency cases. As a Registered Nurse in this department, you will be responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients during their stay in the ED and the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU), ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate care to patients in the Emergency Department and ETCU.
• Monitor patient progress and implement care plans effectively.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in trauma cases and emergency procedures as necessary.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department or related setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required.
• NIHSS and TNCC certification strongly preferred.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• Must be willing to float to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit.
