5x8 hour night shift, 22:45 - 07:15. On-call with a 30-minute response required, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Surgical Tech will be responsible for providing assistance during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and preparing instruments and supplies. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Surgical Procedures: Prepare and pass instruments during surgeries.
• Maintain Sterile Environment: Ensure all surgical tools and the operating room are sterile.
• Prepare Operating Room: Set up necessary equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Monitor Patient Safety: Assist in initial patient assessments and observe patient vitals during procedures.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work alongside surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is needed.
• Must be willing to care for COVID patients, if necessary.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility; notification prior to submission is necessary for travelers.
