Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift. This role involves providing professional nursing care based on current nursing knowledge through the use of the nursing process. Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and documenting patient health data
• Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses
• Identifying expected outcomes individualized to the patient
• Developing and implementing a plan of care
• Evaluating the patient's progress toward outcomes
• Engaging in quality of care activities
• Evaluating personal nursing practice and seeking professional development
• Collaborating with patients and healthcare providers
• Utilizing research findings in practice
• Demonstrating leadership skills within the unit

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• EPIC patient charting experience preferred
• Current nursing license
• Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (HCP BLS) certification
