Schedule

3x12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights. Primarily days (2 months from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; 1 month nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM). Weekend requirements include 4 shifts for days and up to 5 shifts for nights.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients ranging from infants to adolescents with a variety of critical medical and surgical conditions. The unit is equipped to manage complex therapies including ECMO and CRRT. Registered nurses will work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide the highest level of critical care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, providing necessary interventions and treatments.
• Administer medications and perform technical procedures as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver patient-centered care.
• Educate families and caregivers about patient conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred.
• Current South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license required.
• BLS and PALS certifications through American Heart Association required.
