RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This is a Night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting and must also possess ICU experience. The role includes floating between three hospitals within 20 miles.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage patient care in the PCU.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Utilize rapid response and code team protocols.
• Function effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure safe administration of cardiac drips and blood products.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• ICU experience preferred.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at the time of application.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date.
• Epic experience is strongly preferred.
• Candidates must be nicotine free; negative drug screen including cotinine required.
