Job Description

The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals in the unit with a focus on critical patients. The ideal candidate should demonstrate competent nursing skills across various patient age groups, provide appropriate care tailored to surgical needs, and maintain professionalism while prioritizing patient satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills in patient care activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts.
• Respond to patients and families professionally and courteously.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and use safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize care based on patient diagnosis and procedural requirements.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and pre/postoperative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
