Night shift: 3x12s, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, with occasional weekend shifts and holiday requirements.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 28-bed unit dedicated to providing intensive and intermediate care to children aged 0-18. Our team collaborates to care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including respiratory compromise, trauma, and post-operative needs. This role involves a mix of direct patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality support to our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
• Monitor patients with varying acuity levels and engage in critical thinking to assess and manage their needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate and support families throughout the care process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in PICU.
• Must have a current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications required: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association).
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred.
