Job Description

The RN Operating Room will provide specialized care for patients undergoing liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants. This role requires proficiency in Misonix/CUSA and experience in placing organs back into patients, not just harvesting them. Candidates must be prepared to handle liver call and other cases as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality surgical care during transplant procedures
• Assist in training and mentoring students and new staff as this is a teaching facility
• Participate in the organ transplant process, ensuring the care and safety of patients
• Meet time-sensitive modules upon assignment confirmation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of direct experience in liver/transplant nursing
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications at the time of submission
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Strong background in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
• Must be nicotine-free and pass a drug screen including a 10-panel test
