Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care as well as managing the care team. The RN will implement the Nursing Process while ensuring that care is delivered according to best practices and organizational policies. This role requires strong leadership skills to direct and oversee the work of other caregivers efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Implement patient care based on established procedures, policies, and care plans.
• Identify patient learning needs and provide education accordingly.
• Document patient care and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate effective organization and set priorities based on sound critical thinking.
• Support and supervise assigned staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• May function as Charge Nurse, coordinating staff coverage and assisting with admissions and discharges.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements and foster a culture of safety within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Current Washington State RN Licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred experience in acute care nursing, with a minimum of one year in specialty nursing departments.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
