Job Description

Join a specialized 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) providing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients. The role involves working within a driven nursing team alongside an intensivist assigned to the unit 24/7, delivering high-quality care in an advanced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients post-cardiac surgery, including those on ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs.
• Utilize advanced equipment for cardiac care, including PA catheters and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Perform various procedures such as central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations.
• Work collaboratively with a support team of unit secretaries and tech staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Strong critical care experience, particularly in CVICU settings.
• Advanced skills in hemodynamic monitoring. Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
