Job Description
The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering comprehensive patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Utilizing critical thinking and scientific judgment to ensure the safe delivery of care.
- Maintaining clinical competency through ongoing education and training.
- Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Providing direction and supervision to assigned nursing personnel.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Two to five years of clinical experience is required.
- Must possess ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association). These must be attached to the application.
- Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care and knowledge of central lines are required.
- Preferred wound care experience.
- Current CO or multi-state compact RN license must be attached to resume.
- Patient ratios are 1:6.
