Job Description

The Float Pool Registered Nurse will work across various inpatient units, including ICU, Step-down, and Medical/Surgical, providing high-quality patient care. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care within competency boundaries, adhering to varying nurse-to-patient ratios based on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across assigned units based on competency.
• Monitor and titrate drips as required, especially in step-down areas.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips where applicable.
• Ensure proper documentation through the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Med/Surg background required; step-down experience preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
• Active RN license.
