Job Description

The PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive patient care by using the Nursing Process as specified by the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available.
• Provide leadership and supervision of assigned personnel in the delivery of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current certification in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience in telemetry or a similar clinical setting preferred.
