Job Description

Join our dynamic Stepdown/MedSurg Unit, equipped to handle diverse medical diagnoses with both floor and step-down patients. This unit is currently under construction and is set to open in the first quarter of 2026. We are looking for both new and experienced nurses who are capable of managing a patient load of up to six for med-surg or three for stepdown care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor and titrate medications as per orders, including Heparin, insulin, and PCA therapies.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurses and House Supervisors to ensure effective unit operations.
• Utilize clinical associates (CAs) for enhanced patient care and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License.
• ACLS (AHA) verification and BLS (AHA) certification.
• Ability to handle a 6:1 patient ratio on the med-surg floor or a 3:1 ratio in stepdown.
