12-hour dayshift; 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

Our nursing unit is a flexible unit that caters to both floor and step-down patients based on the hospital's needs. The diverse patient population primarily presents with medical diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load of 6 in MedSurg and 3 in Stepdown settings.
• Titrate drips as per physician orders, including but not limited to Heparin, insulin, and various pain management medications.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors, especially during the unit's initial opening phase.
• Utilize CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory support equipment based on patient needs.
• Contribute to the care team with nursing assistants (Clinical Associates) to ensure optimal patient care ratios.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS (AHA) Certification
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Experience managing stepdown or MedSurg patients is preferred, but both new and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
