Circulating Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule

9:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with expectations to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

The Operating Room at Trident Medical Center consists of specialized, high-tech environments where you will be responsible for circulating in various surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Robotic OBGYN, and Urology cases. The unit includes advanced robotic surgeries and features important surgical equipment such as an XI Robot and Mako joint robot.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate surgical procedures across designated specialties.
• Ensure proper positioning and prepping of patients for surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to promote optimal patient care.
• Adhere to all unit-specific policies and guidelines to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Circulating RN in the Operating Room.
• Current BLS certification.
• Advanced skills in general circulating knowledge including positioning and prepping for complex surgical cases.
