Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Must be available for weekdays and weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVIUC RN with experience in Activated Clotting Time. The position involves working with a patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity and may include overflow patients requiring step down level of care. Candidates must have experience in direct fresh open-heart admissions from the operating room and possess skills in pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients following cardiac surgery including CABGs, valve replacements, and thoracotomies.
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac care.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and maintain patient care documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams.
• Supervise junior staff and assist in training when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of direct RN experience in a critical care setting.
• Experience with direct open heart admissions from the OR.
• Valid WV or compact RN license preferred; pending applications acceptable.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, with all certifications from the American Heart Association.
