Schedule

Shift: 06:45-19:15. Minimum of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) required every 6-week schedule period. No call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit. The primary patient population includes cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients, with an emphasis on post-operative care for procedures such as open heart surgery and thoracic lung surgery. You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients through recovery while maintaining high standards of nursing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular procedures.
• Monitor patient status and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Manage intravenous therapy and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Preferred experience in CV surgery and vascular surgery populations within the last year.
