Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years of cardiac step-down experience for a rewarding position in our facility. The RN will provide care for heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open heart patients, and other cardiac and med-surg step-down patients. The RN will also be expected to float to other units during times of low volumes or coverage crises.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for post-operative open heart patients and those recovering from heart catheterizations.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage other cardiac/med-surg patients as needed.
• Float to other units when necessary, based on staffing needs.
• Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as required, subject to change based on census and staffing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of three years of experience in cardiac step-down nursing.
• Experience with open-heart patients, mechanical ventilation (vents), and Epic EMR.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
