Friday - Sunday, 7:00am - 7:30pm EST. On call/Holiday requirement per unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging through CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves coordinating with physicians and providing accurate imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients safely.
• Document all necessary components within EPIC and ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Siemens scanner and EPIC preferred.
