Schedule

3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 4-5 weekend shifts required in a 4-week period.

Job Description

You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU Neuroscience unit. The clinician will work with a team to ensure the best outcomes for patients requiring step-down care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care with a focus on specific acuity levels, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying changes and communicating them promptly to the healthcare team.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families about treatment plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience is required.
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association accepted).
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
