Schedule / Shift

The position requires working 3x12 hour nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other week.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide patient care across various medical-surgical floors within a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility. The RN will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care and will be expected to float to different units as necessary based on the facility's needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with medical and surgical needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Current South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
• BLS Certification is required.
