Job Description

The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for maintaining a sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. The ST prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner, ensuring the highest standard of care for patients during the intraoperative period. The ST collaborates with all members of the perioperative team and provides additional supportive patient care as directed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and surgical instrumentation.
• Prepare the operating room and all necessary supplies for surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with the perioperative team.
• Collaborate with co-workers in stocking and ordering supplies for the department.
• Provide additional patient care as directed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, may be obtained upon hire.
• 2 years of recent operating room experience is preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
