Job Description

The Travel Adolescent Behavioral Health RN will be responsible for delivering care to inpatient adolescent patients aged 14-17. The role may involve floating to Geriatric and Adult Behavioral Health units as needed. A critical aspect of this position is to utilize de-escalation techniques and maintain a safe environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Management of clinical activities in the assigned unit(s).
• Implementation of nursing philosophy, goals, and standards.
• Formulation and monitoring of capital, personnel, and operating budgets.
• Staffing and scheduling of personnel.
• Supervision of employees in the delivery of care.
• Planning and coordination of orientation and educational needs of the staff.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with other disciplines.
• Promoting positive public relations as a representative of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient Adolescent Psych experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• De-escalation training/certification required; attendance at SAFE Training Course onsite if needed.
