Full-time position, 5x8-hour shifts from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday through Friday. No weekends required.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and ensuring the accuracy of results. This position requires a strong background in blood bank procedures and the ability to work independently with a wide range of laboratory instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and procedures with precision and accuracy.
• Perform blood bank procedures including crossmatching and antibody identification.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance measures.
• Document test results and maintain laboratory records accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Certification by ASCP is required (ASCP-MLS preferred).
• BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
