Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Oncology unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology or hematology patient care. The RN will manage a patient load of 1:6 ratios and be required to float as needed, providing care to both oncology and general medical-surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage ports and central lines.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology or medical-surgical nursing.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS preferred.
• Chemo certification is highly desirable.
• Must have experience in administering blood products and managing IVs.
