5x8 evenings (15:00 - 23:30), Monday through Friday; no weekends required.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and providing accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient care. The role involves interdisciplinary support and maintaining compliance with laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring quality assurance and controls.
• Utilize various laboratory instruments and techniques.
• Prepare and transport specimens as per laboratory protocols.
• Report and interpret test results under appropriate guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Current ASCP certification required; BLS preferred.
• Experience with Cerner or similar charting systems is preferred.
• Blood Bank experience is required.
