Job Description

The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging by coordinating with physicians, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring a comfortable experience. The role requires adherence to safety policies and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide necessary diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for assessments.
• Position patients safely and effectively, particularly those with limited mobility.
• Document all required components accurately within EPIC and ensure appropriate uploading to PACS system post-exam.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the position).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Preference for injection certification, must be completed during orientation.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.
