Nuclear Medicine Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4 days x 10 hours, starting between 6:30 AM and 8:15 AM, rotating weekdays. On-call after department closes until it reopens, approximately 7 days a month.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies. Responsibilities include operating advanced nuclear medicine equipment and performing diagnostic tests and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Operate nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probes, and computer systems.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures performed.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as needed.
• Provide patient care and support throughout the diagnostic process.
• Participate in on-call duties after hours as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• One (1) year of nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Pending Nuclear Medicine license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) allowed.
• Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with either NMTCB or ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
