10 hour shift, rotating Nights: 9:30pm - 7:30am

Job Description

The Medical Lab Technician performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens in all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsibilities include performing various microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards, as well as calibrating and operating all instruments and equipment according to a preventive maintenance schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
