Cardiac Stepdown RN Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 3x12 hours, rotating between nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) and days (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM). Shifts may be variable, if needed, to meet operational needs.

Job Description

This position is within a progressive care unit (PCU) or stepdown unit at a renowned hospital. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cardiac stepdown nursing, showcasing the ability to manage complex patient populations requiring continuous monitoring and specialized care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients in a stepdown/PCU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Recognize ECG rhythms and administer medications safely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown nursing.
• Current Ohio Nursing License or Compact State License in hand at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
