Registered Nurse - Clinical Specialty

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, and current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family members/significant others, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to individualize patient care. The RN also directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, as well as administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Supervise nursing support staff in delivering effective care.
• Adhere to administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty preferred.
• Valid PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Schedule

This position involves a 12-hour AM shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
