Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MS RN specialized in Orthopedics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, with expertise in orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and extensive knowledge of patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary patient care in an orthopedic setting, managing a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Perform essential nursing skills such as IV starts, blood draws, and management of central lines and ports.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy and Social Services to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of MS RN experience, with strong med/surg background.
• Experience with orthopedic trauma and related patient care.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Proficient with EPIC documentation system.
• Ability to manage colostomy care, feeding tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis management.
