CVICU Travel Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts from 19:30 to 08:00. Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU nurse with a background in open heart care. This position will involve working with post-operative cardiac surgery patients and may require floating within the specialty to sister units and lower acuity as needed. Candidates must have extensive experience of at least 2 years in CVICU or open heart.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for patients in a CVICU setting.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or open heart experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Charge experience is preferred.
• Must hold an active MD or Compact License at the time of submission.
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and assess dysrhythmias.
