Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift: 18:45 PM - 7:15 AM, requiring every other weekend or three weekends per month.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, facilitating patient care, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in compliance with standards.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health issues and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Three (3) years of recent Emergency Department experience is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Travel experience with at least one completed contract assignment is necessary.
• Current New Jersey license or compact nursing license is required.
• Certification in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS is required (pending certifications or certifications expiring within 30 days of submission are not accepted).
