ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The ER Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, while demonstrating expertise in emergency care protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Administering blood products and medications, including emergency medications and IV vasopressors.
• Performing phlebotomy and initiating IV therapy, along with continuous IV sedation and paralytics.
• Conducting procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Interpreting dysrhythmias and managing related patient conditions.
• Implementing isolation precautions and general emergency department protocols.
• Floating to other areas as needed when census warrants.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ER RN.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS are required.
• Active New York State RN license is required for submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
