Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine, with specific experience in pediatrics. This position offers the opportunity to work in a busy 64-bed emergency department, providing care for a diverse population including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage patient flow and triage in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Care for patients across a wide range of medical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Active NY RN license and documentation of all RN licenses.
• Skills checklist matching specialty.
• Driver’s license with an address matching demographics.
• NURSYS report for license verification.
