Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, every other weekend. There may be up to 2 extra mandatory overtime shifts every 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in cardiac care. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and may float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg as needed. The ideal candidate should have experience with Balloon Pump and Impella Pump treatments. Weekend availability is required for coverage purposes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care in a cardiac setting.
• Administer treatments and medications as per protocols.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float between PCU and Med Surg as necessary based on census needs.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in cardiac care, specifically with Balloon Pump and Impella Pump, is highly preferred.
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory.
