Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. The therapist will be proficient in using radiation delivery equipment and will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. This role requires commitment to patient safety standards and adherence to established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment logs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient care.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• BLS certification.
• State licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
• Preferred experience in a progressive radiation oncology department.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Epic EMR is required.
