Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in crisis intervention and behavioral health, and will primarily work in the Emergency Department Crisis Center (EDCC), while floating to other units as needed. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients who require emergency psychiatric evaluation and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct emergency psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Provide compassionate care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience in Behavioral Health/Crisis Intervention is highly desirable.
