Job Description

The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. As a critical member of the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), the RN provides care for a diverse patient population, including those undergoing various cardiology procedures and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary nursing care to cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, especially post-operative recovery.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, and more.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1+ year of ICU experience (floating does not count).
• EKG experience is required.
• Must be willing to float to similar units, including Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma.
• Preferred experience in managing vents, CRRT, and balloon pumps.
• Active Michigan nursing license verification required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS.
