MS Stroke Stepdown RN - Night Shift

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RN to work in our MS Stroke Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing patients with strokes, as well as other medical conditions that require intermediate care. Responsibilities will include monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients recovering from strokes and complex medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with patient assessments and care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Float to other units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS Stroke Stepdown.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Active NY RN license and verification report.
• Two recent references from MS Charge/Manager RN.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
