Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a 36-bed cardiac care unit, providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to geriatrics. The primary focus will be on patients requiring medical cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions such as surgeries, stent placements, and pacemaker implantations. Additionally, the unit admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care for cardiac patients, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
• Float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed.
• Maintain documentation in the EPIC charting system.
• Monitor and manage patient care involving cardiac telemetry, central lines, and various cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy and Respiratory Services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac unit.
• BLS certification is required; NIHSS certification is preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
