Job Description

The Orthopedic Surgical Trauma Nurse will provide care for patients in an orthopedic surgical trauma unit, utilizing specialized skills in chest tube management and trauma care. Nurses will participate in the management of patients post-surgery, as well as assist with various procedures including lines and drains.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for patients with orthopedic surgical trauma.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in various medical procedures including line placements and drain management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience in chest tube management.
• Preferred experience in trauma care.
